When I started The New England Shutter Company, my objective was to make shutters to the highest standard using techniques I had seen in the joinery industry. In response to clients requests the shutters needed to be truly bespoke, rather than be restricted by manufacturing processes. I wanted to build each set of shutters from start to finish for every individual client.

I set out to make shutters that were made by carpenters using all species of joinery quality grade woods. My aim was to design a wooden shutter that was to look fine and elegant, yet stable, strong and robust, without looking too heavy.

Since establishing in 2002 I am delighted to say The New England Shutter Company is now the leading International designer and manufacturer of internal plantation shutters.

The New England Shutter Company now prides itself on being able offer a truly bespoke service and relishes a challenge. I am proud to say, if it can be made of wood, we will make it.
