Company Ethos

The New England Shutter Company is a family-owned company and was established as a response to the lack of high quality timber shutters available in the UK. We now have a dedicated following amongst interior designers, architects and discerning householders.

All New England shutters are custom made in our own joinery factory using only the finest grade timbers. We work to any specification, producing bespoke solutions for every window, door, glass roof or other internal space. Everything from the blades, stiles, rails, tilt rods, to frames and hinges is designed by The New England Shutter Company.

Shutters can be made from a huge variety of timbers and individually finished to create an original for your home- be it painted, stained, lacquered, oiled, natural, or dressed in stitched faux leather, faux suede, leather or fabric.

Our timber shutters can also be made using other solid woods such as Ash, American White Oak, American Black Walnut, Western Red Cedar, American Cherry, Maple and Teak. These can be stained, oiled or left natural. We use American Tulip Wood for our range of painted shutters. The company supports sustainable forestry and only sources wood from environmentally responsible suppliers.

The New England Shutter Company has agents in most parts of the UK and Europe who will be able to provide a measuring and fitting service.

We also offer a self fitting option, and can ship from our factory in Dubai to anywhere in the world.
